I think I did something stupid here on my installation. Somehow, I erased the Admin account or group. I tried to make it back again, but E-smith returns saying it is already there. I think I need it to set up Samba and a few other things. Any idea for a work around to retore it without doing a complete reload? I have some 100 people already in the system....

If you can tell us exactly how you erased the admin account or group. If you can't tell us that, perhaps you can tell us what symptoms you see.
If you can't find a way to selectively add whatever it is you deleted, then maybe you can just re-install the e-smith RPM, using the "--force" option, and that will restore things to the way they need to be. No promises though.
