I'm wondering if anyone here can help me with a problem I'm having: I'm using SME Server 5.5 connected to a cable modem but, I continue to lose my connection periodically. It happens, as frequently as twice a day and sometimes not for several days. I suspect that COMCAST is re-registering/changing the DHCP link and the SME Server doesn't know what to do with that. Does that make sense or could it be a config problem with the server (that I might be able to resolve without an update)?
Thanks,
Robert

I don't know much about SME, since I just installed it 2 days agao an dbeen playing with it since, but from what I've learned, setting the network card that is connected to the Internet to half duplex solved my problem of random disconnection from my cable modem... mine was very random, anything from 20 mins to 13 hours.

Thanks for your reply! I want to try your suggestion but, I have no idea how to set the card to half duplex. Furthermore, I have no documentation for the card.

That might be a little bit more difficult then..
I suggest you try to visually inspect the card, then go pay a visit to http://pigtail.net/LRP/netcard.html and get the detective... it might help :)
