Title: Auto Start Service
Post by: Steve on November 04, 2002, 08:39:43 PM
Hi,
I am using my server to run Helix Universal Server from Realnetworks to stream live and would like to start the program when the system boots.  Where do I have to setup the details to start this service.  If it's windows then I put it in startup folder but I'm still new to Linux and don't know where to do it.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Append the command you normally use to start the service to the bottom of /etc/rc.d/rc.local

Hope this helped,
Nathan

Hi,

I also run a Realserver. WWith Realserver 8 everything is ok. but with Helix server and producer i can stream, but i can not play the live stream. every url i tried in the explorer was wrong. Also every adress in the realplayer one only produces mistake.

So, if i stream from a cam and call it stream.rm what is the url for the explorer?

Thanks Ewald
