Hi,
I am reading up on Alternative DNS and went across to http://support.open-rsc.org/unix/ to get some instructions fon changing the name servers.
To change the DNS, It mentions... "To do this, find the file that is your current "hints" or "root cache" file. It'll look something like this"
518400 NS A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
. 518400 NS H.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
. 518400 NS B.ROOT-SERVERS.NET (etc....)
I have tried searching this file, but cannot locate it. Could someone point me in the right directions and is there another way of achieving this under 5.1.2.
Thanks

Alternative DNS is a *really* bad idea. Don't go there. You'll regret it if you do.
