Title: Firewall customization
Post by: Mathias Vestergaard on November 11, 2002, 11:12:45 PM
How can I customize the rules on my firewall?

Every-time I use MSN Messenger with speech, it just blocks. It's nice that it is secure, but I want to be able to customize it!

MS Messenger requires a H323 Proxy to be enabled on your firewall/proxy setup, without this it will never work.
Whilst this has been raised previously i'm not sure if anybody has actually done this, hopefully someone will prove me wrong

I need to make MSN work for camera and voice comms, any ideas??

I know the kernel needs patching.  Has anyone come up with a solution??

did you ever find a solution to your problem with MSN. 5.5 worked over our internal network but not outside. 5.6 does not work at all

No, I never got it.

The problem with MSN is that it doesn't support NAT, (unles you buy an Exchange-server, I guess).
