Title: using LDAP to Authenticate

I would like to know how to set SME server 5 to authenticate user on a linux machine. I have a few linux machine that I would like to have the user information stored on the SME unit. I have tried but it seems to fail. ANy insite to this problem?

I have also tried without success but I ma sure it can be done. This is the only Linux authentication method I have tried so far where you can physical see the network traffic of the client accessing the server to authenticate.
