Title: Compaq Smart Array 5i Problem
Post by: Matthew on November 28, 2002, 06:28:21 AM
My company use DL380 G2 Dual PIII 1400Mhz server with Smart Array 5i controller. I can't install SME 5.5 server. Then, I tried the previous version e-Smith 4.1.2 and SME 5.1.2 by using Smart Array 5i RH7.0 cciss driver which provided from compaq site. Although I can install these two versions, I still prefer to install the latest version SME server. How about SME 5.6beta version? Can it support the above configuration? Any method can I upgrade v5.1.2 to v5.5?

Use Compaq Array Config. CD to create Compaq boot and utility partition, and select Other linux install from Array CD.
after completed Boot utility installation remove Compaq CD and start to install SME

But it seems no Linux Options. Can SME 5.6 version solve the boot up problem?
