Title: Web site content
Post by: sys admin on December 02, 2002, 02:45:24 AM
Hello to all
Can anyone give me a idea of how to restrict where my users go on the web. Ie we have a intranet and we need some users having only access to this site. Other users need to have access to the intranet and internet ???

 Thanks in advance.........

SquidGuard (http://www.tech-geeks.org/servers/sme/v5.1.x/squidguard/install) is a lovely module that restricts websites that people can surf to via ip and goto www.e-smith.dyndns.org for a lovely squid authorisation module that restricts access to the internet via username/ip.

Both add a nice panel to the server-manager and are a breeze to setup and maintain!

Hope that helps,

Yes Dansguardian works with E-smith - for an easy install and nice configuration panel added to the server-manager goto dungog.net/sme and buy the software there for it - well worth the $30 or so.
