Post by: Martin Frost on December 13, 2002, 12:02:50 PM
I have my VPN now working OK.

But when I connect & veiw Network Neighborhood although I can see the list of computers on me network I can only access the SME server.

I use windows 95/98/ME/2000 on the VPN Client machines, SME 5.1.2 at the moment & the rests of our network consists of a DHCP on our ADSL router A Linux Fileserver running SUSE 7.0 & a mix of win95/98/me/NT4 Workstation/win2000 machines there is no DNS or NT/2000 Servers.

can any one help

I take it by VPN you mean you are using PPTP and the machines in your local network can accesss each other, and have shares configured --- correct?  The only thing I can this of: make sure your SME box is configured with "Workgroup and Domain Controller" set to Yes.  Verify all clients have the same workgroup name configured.

Yes you are correct I do mean PPTP.

All the computers can access each other on the network

Wokgroup & Domain Control is set to "yes" on SME server

all workgroup names are the same on all computers & all shares work on our LAN.
