Title: installing HBEDV antivirus on SME512
Post by: Greg on December 15, 2002, 09:01:23 AM
Hello

I am trying to locate and install the free HBEDV antivirus for SME 5.1.2. I have found the compressed file avlxsrv.tgz at the HBDEV site but as per instructions in the Dungog site, I was trying to find the RPM. I have decompressed the file and there is no .rpm file in it? Anyone know where I can find the RPM for this one.

TIA
Greg

from the instructions, you don't 'need' an rpm all the time
the h+debv instructions are fair

please read the hbedv readme for more information.

Installation of avlinux.tgz
---------------------------
 - Copy the file avlinux.tgz to a temporary directory.
    e.g.: mkdir /tmp/av.inst
          cd /tmp/av.inst
          cp /the-directory-containing-avlinux.tgz/avlinux.tgz .

  - Unpack the archive using the command "tar xzvf avlinux.tgz".
