Post by: VoiDeT on December 17, 2002, 07:12:43 AM
Hey everyone,
SQL disaster with 5.5.
I got webmin happening and i go to create a table. It comes back with this error:

Failed to create database : DBI connect failed : Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)

Youch!
I cant even create a database.
So i try to set some permissions, i dont evewn have permission to change the permissions. And this was on a fresh install of 5.5. Whats the deal with this?

The deal with this is you haven't finished configuring webmin--in particular, you haven't told it the mysql root password.

You really should search around here--both of these topics (webmin and mysql passwords) have been covered EXTENSIVELY in the past.
