G'day All,
I'm running SME 5.1.2 and all has been well up to now when I have lost windows access to the user account on the SME server. Ibays work as they should but the user account came up with a "network path not found".
I eventually overcame this problem by playing with the permissions of the user account (chmod) but fear the repercussions of reducing security.
The windows box (W2K) automatically logs on my user account the name and password of which matches the user account on the SME box.
My feeling is that the windows box is not authenticating itself appropriately and that's why I'm having the permissions issue.
Can anyone shed any light on this one as the SME server is attached to a cable connection and I like having remote access but since I have had to tweak the permissions I am worried about security.
