Title: RPM manager
Post by: Greg on January 06, 2003, 09:57:46 AM
Hello

I have just installed the RPM manager. Does the manager just download RPMs or can it literally install the RPMs I select???

Can any one just confirm what this very neat RPM can do??

i installed the package here

http://www.dungog.net/sme/howto/install.php

this allows me to upload an RPM from my desktop and it installs it on my server through the server manager.

I think Greg has installed the RPM Manager which uploads any files from a computer onto the SME at /opt/administration/rpm-manager. It does NOT then proceed to install anything, what you need is what Hub refrerrs to, te Update System RPM, that then uploads rpms and installs them :-)

Hope that helps,

Thank you for the info

Yes I found the solution at this URL. It installs the RPM via the browzer.
