I get the following error message on the SME terminal:
INIT ID "nd" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes.
Does anyone know where I should start looking to find out what is causing this error message? It started immediately after I upgraded from 5.0 to 5.5. I have yet to apply the 5.5 updates. I am in the process now of doing that.
Also, the NTP service does not seem to be running since I updated to 5.5. I use the same server (time.nrc.ca) on my Windows 2000 box and it syncs like a charm. Are these two things related? I never set the time manually but in case the service got a little dodgy I un-enabled it, set the time manually (it was off by two days!!! not sure how that happened) and then enabled the NTP service. The router does not even show an outgoing request so I guess the problme lies in SME.
Both SME (server-only) and Windows 2000 are behind the same BEFSR41 router.

Group,
I have my answer to this question. Somehow I missed the previous thread on the name server bug. Once I found it I was off and tweaking.
