Hi
I have an SME server distributing IP addresses to my LAN. IT is also the gateway. The problem - I cant see the other PC on the network. I cannot ping the other machines. Only the SME server can ping all the machines so its not a wins or dns problems. I am only pinging the IP addresses here. Which makes me wonder if it has something to do with the firewall. IE: 192.168.0.1 is my SME server and 192.168.0.10 cant talk to 192.168.0.11 but they both have net connection. The sme is set to the gateway on these machines. So it probably a rule I need to add into IP chains? I dont know how to use IP chains...
Could someone please help me?
Thanks

Are all your computers on the same workgroup?
Are they all logging onto the same domain?
can you see them by trying \comp_name or \192.168.0.10 from other machines?
Sounds like you have the same problem as the one:

on one of the clients, open a dos window and type:
ipconfig /all (for nt/2000)
winipcfg (for w95/98)
What output does this show for the client network config - ipaddress/subnet/default gateway etc?
