Title: Opening IP in ver. 4.12

How can I grant access to my E-smith ver. 4.12 to other IP-adresses?

I know how in ver.5.5 but I cannot find that feature in 4.12.

Does this work?

# /sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop userpanel ValidFrom 1.2.3.4/255.255.255.0
# /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
# /etc/e-smith/events/actions/restart-httpd-graceful

Not in 4.1.2, I don't think. Perhaps there have been some features added in 5.0, 5.1, 5.1.2, 5.5 and 5.6? :-) There have been some bugs fixed, too, including serious security ones. Roed should upgrade.

I know that an upgrade is the best thing to do but if I do the banking system is blocked by the Squid. I have tried a 5.5 but I can´t get around the Squid with the banking program.
That´s why I still use 4.12 because there is no problem with Squid and banking in that version.

Use 5.0. The transparent squid stuff wasn't added until 5.1.2 or 5.5... While it's not the latest and greatest, I found a lot of improvements between 4.1.2 and 5.0...

...or just turn off the transparent proxy, as has been posted here many times.
