Title: web based diary
Post by: del on January 12, 2003, 07:23:17 PM
Hi All,
Does any one know of a web based dairy and event manager that can be installed on SME 5.5 so it is for use by the internal LAN?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Del,

There is phpgroupware that is much more than you want. I can use only the features you want and leave the others.
I have installed it and it's working just fine. The installation is very easy and the envoirement is very good.

If you need some more help, contact again...

   Cheers

   Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,
Thanks for the reply, I have just checked out the web site and it looks great, I may have to call on you for help in installing as I have NEVER installed any rpms or programs on SME or any other version of Linux! I have been happy to just use SME as it comes out of the box for the last 12 months (e-smith 4.12 for 6 months prior). I have not even installed the update 2 as I am not sure how to go about it, update 1 was in the blades on the admin pages. I will download the files and have atry. Thanks again for your help.
Cheers,
Del

there is a Contributed packege that makes installing rpms super easy, look through the contributing "Howto" section for something to the extent on installing rpms from your web browser.
