Hi,
Im new to SME and im not the most advance linux person. I just want to know what version of redhat is SME 5.5 based on so I can install webmin onto it. Also do I need to add a rule into my firewall so I can access webmin. Thanks in advance! :)

Why would you want to install Webmin--I find the the server-manager with some addition modules is much more powerful for the SME Server.
-
The use of Webmin is not recommended and could damage your SME server.
(use the newbie function => Search forums on WEBMIN)
The server - manager covers all points of configuration very well and is newbie freundly.
Also the manuals for SME are written well and are a good choice of reading.
Cheers

You are right. I fear its security. I am just looking for a easy way out. Im just trying to learn linux. It's probably a bad waay to learn. Im not sure if my server is caching. So I wanted to check that. Is it an invisible proxy / caching by default? (sme 5.5). How should I remove this package? Thanks guys. I wont be so lazy next time!

well if you want to learn linux then begin at the beginning -you dont start learning to drive a car by taking a long drive on the motorway.
Noone will be able to help you unless you give qualified questions -ist not that noone wants to help but basically to sort out problems we need to know exactly what your on about...
If you dont need a proxy then you should of setup your server just as a server...As stated in the manual....
Take a coffee and read the manual..... Install the server and Im sure everything will work just as you need it...
