Title: Ibay permissions
Post by: Colin Mattoon on January 21, 2003, 06:17:22 PM
Did a search here, didn't find an answer...

Just installed download version 5.5.  Used the web based server manager to create an ibay that is supposed to be browser accessible to Internet without a password, and added content to the default index.html in that ibay. I have to log in with ssh and set permissions manually to 644 before I can view the changes made to the default "This ibay has yet to be customized" content.

Is this normal, or a bug in the server manager, or likely a glitch in my system?

Thanks,
Colin

Colin
You only need to copy your own index.htm file to the ibayname html folder. The original index.html will be ignored. Alternatively just delete the default index.html file.
You may need to flush your cache for the amended index.html file to be read. In Internet Explorer do Ctrl F5

Thanks, Ray.  I'll give that a  go today by creating a new ibay.
