Title: Problem receiving email

One of our user accounts has developed a problem recently. The account was working fine. Now the user can login and access files on the server OK but when she opens Outlook to collect mail it asks for a password but her login password is not accepted. Outlook says it has trouble logging in to the server. It happens with both IMAP and POP3. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong.

Perhaps the system password and the smb passwords are out of sync.

Jump to console and type:
passwd , set her password to match her smbpassword (The password she is using to login and access files on the server).
