Recently we upgraded from 4.1.2 to 5.1.2
This version refused to work in 'dynamic IP mode' with our Alcatel Speed Touch Pro, killing it when we assigned 'defserver' in NAT, via Telnet. We had to lie (I am so ashamed of myself...not!) to Telstra for the configuration to setup the modem as a bridge. The server now handles the changing IP address OK on ppp0 itself. All is OK for WWW access but not all time for mail! This is the problem.
As we have a dynamically assigned IP from Telstra, I have checked the correct IP on ppp0 is set at mydns.com, but for some reason the mail just well, goes off...?
I have noticed on the SME Server V5 window that the 'review configuration' option shows the 'External IP' address as different to that which 'ifconfig' at 'root' does. Could this be causing a problem? Where do I go to do something about this? Any other suggestions?
I also noticed this...
1043803436.296107500 alert: oh no! lost spawn connection! dying...
on a report generated for Mail Log File Analysis. What does this mean?
Any help would be appreciated.
