Any reason a class 2 e-smith server/gateway shouldn't be outfitted with a third NIC?

no particular reason it shouldn't that i can see other than why would you need a third?  what is it that you want to do that a third net card would allow you to accomplish?

The company I am working with has both standard DSL and  wireless internet portals. This is on a mission critical
network and is for redundancy purposes.
