Dear All
I see that an update 3 has been released for sme v5.5.
ftp://ftp.e-smith.org/pub/e-smith/updates/5.5/Update3/RPMS/
The only rpm changes I notice are
SMEServer-5.5_Update3-03.noarch.rpm
xinetd-2.3.7-4.7x.i386.rpm
Does anyone know what the update covers and is it essential to be applied to a production server ??
Thanks
Ray Mitchell

I've been wondering about this myself.
Since there wasn't a big notification (that I saw), I would guess that it isn't going to be tragic if it isn't installed.
However, I guess it's always good to keep up to date.

This was answered in another post. It's to do with denial of service attacks and essentially only updates xinetd.rpm
