Title: 5.6 unable to use http - https works
Post by: Mike S. on February 03, 2003, 06:08:27 PM
I have an SME 5.6 server running, but I can only access web pages using httpsand I want to be able to access them via standard http since there is no reason for security on them.

Can anyone offer any hints on how to enable http access?

Thanks,
Mike

Can you access http from your lan, and only not from outside?  In that case, I'd bet a pizza that your ISP is blocking port 80.

Hi Dan!

No, I cannot access http locally. It just times out while attmpting to load a page. I can only use https to access pages both internally and externally.

Thanks!
