Title: What is the mail server for 5.5
Post by: jodahall on February 04, 2003, 02:57:15 AM
I am starting to get spam on my mail server at home so wanted to install some filtering software or configure the mail server to try and block some of the spam, but I don't know what mail is used in version 5.5 ???

Maybe it already has the ability to setup filters if that's the case can someone point me to a faq or how-to on how I go about setting it up.

thanx

Qmail. Spamassissin works great.  You can find more information here: http://www.spamassassin.org and a beta install for SME here  http://www.leiinc.com/repository/Linux/Mitel_SME_Server/Beta/

Also, check out the how-tos on this here site.

Don't forget POPFile ...

http://popfile.sourceforge.net

Not SME-based, but HIGHLY effective.

I have Vipul's Razor running on our SME. http://razor.sourceforge.net  I had to install a few other things along the way, but it's now working great. When I can get SpamAssassin to work the way I want in procmail, I plan to switch to that (it includes razor as one of its checks).
