Title: Tyan Raid installation
Post by: Peter on February 06, 2003, 12:48:15 AM
Hallo,

I'm supposed to install e-smith on a Tyan mainboard with Raid onboard but not sure if  the controller will work with the e-smith without hand-coding .
Any suggestions, advices ?

Regards, Peter

Peter, you might want to check out what chipset Tyan is using for raid. If it's a highpoint chipset you have a good chance it might actually work.

good luck,

Jeroen

Hi Jeroen,

it's a HighPoint controller, may be lucky  ;-)
What about customising the system, what skills would you ask someone to have for a good understanding of the e-smith distro ? Just PHP, Bash and HTML or something more ?

Bye, Peter
