I am attempting to install SME Server on a Dell Dimension L550r. I believe it cannot boot from a CD so I created a boot diskette with the rawrite utility. The machine boots and the setup dialogs begin.

At the prompt "What type of media contains the packages to be installed?", I select "local CD" and continue. At this point I am presented with "The Mitel SME Server CD was not found in any of your CD ROM drives."

I viewed the CD on a machine running Windows 98 and can see the directory trees and files. When I burned the CD I did give it a name different form the ISO image filename.

 What might be the problem?

I did not check it before buring the CD. In light of your advice I went hunting around for a md5sum that works with MacOS X. So far I have not found one.

In the meantime, I downloaded the iso file to a Win2K machine along with the md5sum and checked that iso file. It is fine.

 Thanks for the advice.
