Title: Private Server/Gateway w/ETRN
Post by: Wayne on February 15, 2003, 12:54:29 AM
Hi

My apologies if this is repeating a previous thread but i've not managed to find the info i need here. I have just installed SME5.6 and want to run it as a private server and gateway. The issue I have is that I still need to leave port 25? open for an ETRN connection to our ISP. In 5.5 this option was availiable in the manager but it seems to have disappeared in 5.6. Can anyone tell me what and where to change this. I am presuming it will be in the iptables but as i am still learning i am not sure exactly what to change.

Thanks in advance and thanks also for a great product.

Regards
Wayne

Again

Wouldn't you know it, I now find something that might help. Would the e-smith-portopening contrib module be what I'm looking for?

The following typed in from console should do it.

/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop smtpfront-qmail access public

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event console-save

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event remoteaccess-update
