Title: Another problem with phpBB2
Post by: Michael Regan on February 15, 2003, 09:50:25 PM
Actually I have two problems.

The first problem is while phpBB2 seems to work, I get the test Forum, I am not seeing the administration menu. I seem to be logged in as a regular user. Is there another command or page to log in as administrator.

The second, not too serious, is in accessing the page:

www.bccs-ca.cmx/phpBB2 doesn't work
(I am just on a private LAN -- hence the .cmx extension)

www.bccs-ca.cmx/phpBB2/index.php does work

I have check my Apache conf file and it looks OK. I can get other index.php files to load automatically. However, when I just use the first command it tries to download the index.php file.

Fixed the first problem -- I tried logging in again and I got the admin prompt. The only thing I can think of is the session did not clear after I did the initial install.

Also - I forgot to thank Dan Brown for the HowTo. It worked great.
Thanks Dan!
