Title: Win2K Workstations joining domain
Post by: Lester Bennett on February 23, 2003, 04:27:02 AM
I have had an eSmith 5.5 server running for a few months now with 6 workstations, a mixture of XP and Win2K. Last week I tried adding 3 more Win2K workstations but encountered problems. I joined the domain at each workstation by being logged in locally as the local administrator and changing from a workgroup to my domain using admin to connect to the domain. I receive the message that the workstation has joined the domain. I then restart the workstation and login to the domain as admin with no problem. I then log out and restart the workstation. Any further attempts by any domain user to login into the domain on these workstations give me the error that the workstation is not a member of the domain and that a trust relationship doesn't exist. I've tried the process a number of times on all three workstations with the same result. I can still login to the domain as any domain user on the original workstations without problem.
Can anyone suggest what is happening here and how I can fix it?

Regards,
Lester Bennett
