Title: VPN from private LAN
Post by: Renan Nepomuceno on March 04, 2003, 09:38:32 AM
To All,

Is it possible for me to make a VPN connection(PPTP ) from my private LAN to the SME server of my client. By the way, my private LAN configuration is this:

         1. We have a firewall connected to internet and my pc is using the firewall
             to gain access to internet.
         2. All outgoing packets are allowed and all incoming are blocked.
         3. I am using a Watchguard firewall (it is a firewall appliance not software).

Probably what ports should I open or what procedure should I make to have my VPN successful. Hope you can help me.

P.S.

By the way I already try using pptp connection from my laptop with a public IP address on it and it is successful.

Thanks in advance,
  renan

PPTP uses TCP port 1723 and GRE (protocol 47).
