Hi,
I've been selected to be a admin on a small network, for a eveningschool for young people, and now i would like to run e-smith. My only problem is that there is a funktioning network, at the school allready.
Can i use the e-smith server on an existing network, and can i turn of, the part of it, where it will control the network. I only want, the http/php server part, and the mailserver part. Can i turn the other funktions off??

Please help me as fast as you can.

p.s. Sorry for the bad english, but i'm only human. i'm i danish student with knowlege in IT and mathematics. And certainly no language.

Yes. Run the server in "server only" mode and the gateway (router and firewall) options are turned off. You can also turn off DHCP if you do not need it.
