To All,
Right now I have a SME v5.5 server installed on my client. This SME server were installed with Trend Interscan Viruswall as their mail antivirus software. Right now Trend Interscan Viruswall accepts all incoming and outgoing mail (with port 25 as open) and then passing it through the qmail (with port 2525).
A week ago after we installed the Interscan Viruswall, we receive a mail from the ordb.org website saying that my mailserver is an open relay and we have many spam mail coming in.
Can anyone help me, because right now I cannot send certain e-mails to certain sites and it is very slow on sending it out. If ever you can help, can you provide me of some procedures on how could I do it.
P.S.
I have a few knowledge on Linux.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
renan

Hi,
You need to urgently set up the Trend scanner so that it will not accept mail to unknown destinations (i.e, any domains you don't host) unless the ip address is in the trusted network. My initial thaught is to dump the trend email scanner, but keep the trend engine and use Amavist or some such to do the scanning - you can link it to the Trend engine, and then Qmail does all the smtp processing. If you can find the relevent settings in the trend av config files though good luck.

Andrew,
Thank you for your suggestion but I think is normal for this setup because mail is going through port of the interscan and not on qmail. By the way I found some information regarding rblsmtpd, it says that it can locate mail server that are open relay and can be with the qmail. But how can I use this rblsmtpd program in conjunction with this kind of setup, and is it possible to do that.
Hope someone can help me with this.
Thanks in advance,
