I updated yesterday and did the required reboot. Once the system came back up EVERYTHING that used MySQL started generating error logs.
I went in and did 'Mysqladmin password [yadda]' to change the admin password BACK to what I had it and now everything works.
Anyone else have this problem?

Hi,
I rely heavily on mySql for development. The update seemed to work fine for me.
However, I had already applied Charlie Bradey's patch to the libriaries prior to doing the upgrade.

I also encounter this problem after i reboot SME after update
It seems that DB is destroyed and I cannot access the DB.
I logon into mySQL, all the database haven't been deleted.
Then, I reset the root (localhost) password.
After this, everything is ok
Hope this msg can help u.

Hi,
I had no MY SQL related trouble - my development site still worked after applying the update, though I still have the same problem with Outlook express and mails not being deleted from the server using Imap, and for some reason I couldn't get the file SMEServer-5.6_Update2-02.noarch.rpm to install, even when following the instructions to the letter. I don't know whether I am missing somthing though, because this is the first time I have updated the server (starting from 5.6).
Any ideas?
Andrew.
