To All,
I am having a problem with my mail regarding receiving mail and telneting on port 25. When I try to telnet to port 25 from the internet (not on local network) I cannot connect on it and also I try to check it using the website of www.checkdns.net but it seems that it cannot see by their site.
Hope you can help me
Thanks in advance

Sounds like your ISP is blocking port 25, which is a very common problem. Get a real ISP.

Dan,
I think my ISP is not blocking the port 25 because previously my SME server is running smoothly before I update the mailfront.1.0.0.1rbl of Charlie Bradly. The thing is that when I telnet to port 25 on my local network I can connect, but doing this from internet I can't connect and also I can only send/receive mail from within my local network.
When I check the service it is okay, its running.
P.S.
By the way my SME server setup is this, mail first pass-through my interscan viruswall (port 25) then to the qmail (setting this to 2525).
Thanks,
renan

As for the email, there is a setting in the server manager under "Other email settings" that you need to turn public access to POP and IMAP.
As for Telnet, make sure that "Telnet access" is turn on under Remote Access section of server manager, although is not recommended to turn Telnet on to the public network
How this helps.
