Hello !
After I applied Update2 on 5.6 and reboot as needed I get boot errors when LILO starts. Only two characters like "LI" stays on screen and freeze . Is this related in any kind with ma second HDD used for USERS and IBAYS (partitions hda1 for ibays and hda2 for users). System stays on hds ?!

Andrej,
I applied the Update2 (downloaded the 14 rpm files) and did the
rpm --upgrade then rebooted as per the instructions with no probs.
I have seen the LILO failure before with linux systems, it generally means
something has played with your bootsector or bootloader. I also had it
once when I installed using LBA HDD mode and changed to normal mode
accidentally.
Hope this helps.

Tx !
I am going to install this Update RPM by RPM to find out which one couses the error.

This happened similarly to my server but it was BEFORE I ran Update2.
See my slightly earlier posting entitled...
* Out of the blue - reboot now stops at LI (LILO?)*
...in my case I had been installing a bunch of addons in an effort to work out why my new SME server-gateway SMTP/WebMail engine won't work when access across the LAN but does if I use the non-routing IP (192.168.xxx.xxx). I am no wiser on either count;~/ And the all important rescue floppy is now permanently resident as it *resolves* the missing LI(LO).
BTW I ran all the Update2 RPMs as a *.rpm group (as instructed).
best wishes, Robert

I'm noticing a possible pattern here.
Andrej,
Did you by any chance install the updates from the second drive???

Bingo !? Yes I think so :( Second drive is for ibays and users, so I save all contribs on the second drive ... Are this contribs so specific that must be installed from first drive (that explain LI.. boot error) ??? Problem is very specific, becouse I EVER install all new contribs on testing SME, but there work OK (only one disk)...

Well the instructions DON'T say that but you are the 2nd or 3rd person that has experienced "LI" after the update from a drive other than the boot drive..
Poeple have been experiencing other problems but the "LI" and second HD seem to be related.
I was just running on a theory here and I might have something.
