Title: ftp acccess denied
Post by: Anthony de Waal on March 21, 2003, 06:17:29 PM
Hi there,
something I used to have working under 5.5, but can't seem to get to work under 5.6.

I want to have an i-bay open for uploading stuff, screened with a password.
The documentation says that write access is disabled by default. How do I grant access?

If this is really not possible, can I have access to write for only one user?

And can I make it so that this user can upload but not see what is already present? That would prevent my server from becoming a porn distribution point.

I have tried all the options from the server-manager, opening up more than I am willing to do, but still I get access denied.

As this is a main reason for me to have a server running in the first place, I hope someone can help me out here.
Thanks,
Thony

Could this be a clue?

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:

proftpd: no process killed
error running postrotate script
