Title: Scsi Contoller Card for 15/30 Compaq DLT
Post by: mcube on March 24, 2003, 11:00:44 PM
I'm new at the SME v5.6. Is anyone using the Compaq 15/30 Series 3305 external DLT? If so then which SCSI controller card is compatible to the SME? I really appreciate your patience.

Thanks

Mcube

I use an adaptec 2940 scsi controller in one of my SME boxes and it works great.

A can vouch for the adaptec 2940 scsi controller too.

Just a warning from my experience, it was not auto-detected when I installed the card after the E-Smith was installed & running. There is a way around that from the command line, but all I had to do was a phoney re-install of the same e-smith version in "upgrade" mode and it was picked up and immediatly functional.
