Title: admin email
Post by: del on March 26, 2003, 03:28:15 AM
Hi All,
Is there a way to have email that is sent to admin also go to another email address. The admin account doesn't show up in in the users section of server-manager otherwise this would have been easy, even for me.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Del,

You can setup the administrative notices generated by the SME server
in de manager console option "Change other e-mail settings"

There where the following tekst are used "Administrative notices generated by the Mitel Networks server are normally e-mailed to the admin account. If you would like them to be e-mailed elsewhere, please enter the e-mail address below. Otherwise, leave this field blank.
Forwarding address for administrative notices "

Fill here the e-mail adres off your wish

Good lock

Hi Johan,
Thanks for your help. What I want to do is have these sent to the admin account and a copy sent to an outside email address. Is this possible?
Thanks again,
Del

In the other email settings part of the Server Manager set a suitable user email address in the 'Forwarding address for administrative notices' box.

Then under 'User Accounts' in the Server Manager click modify on the above user's account in the table, and in the page that comes up alter his email setting to 'Both deliver locally and forward'. Put the second email address in the 'Forwarding address' box below and you're set.
