Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows if E-Smith supports DSL (the one with PPPoP)
I dont think they do but someone told me that they are working on it?
If so when will it be out?????
Please advise. we are getting frustratred with ISDN prices !!!!!

Both e-smith 3.1 and the soon-to-be-released 4.0 do not support PPPoE; we anticipate including PPPoE support in the next release after 4.0, which will be out in the fall some time.
If you are adventurous and do not need technical support from e-smith, you can try installing your own PPPoE support. We have heard several reports of success using Roaring Penguin:

I had no problem adding it here. Just set it up with no internet side info,
and then installed Roaring Penguin according to the instructions, I started it 25 days ago and it is still running. Really needs a script to bring it up, but I will probably wait for a power failure or something :-)
