Title: 5.5U3 multidrop
Post by: geoff on April 08, 2003, 04:22:13 AM
I just found and applied 5.5 U3 and since I did, my multidrop email will not clear the popserver at TPG.

I've reapplied the settings that have worked for the last two years, and rebooted the server to no avail.

Any ideas?

Alternatively, how do I remove 5.5U3?

Thanks

If the mail has already been collected by your SME server (ie. in no danger of being lost), then try and setup a Windows Mail client to collect that mail from the ISP mailbox and see if the mails will clear. If not, then the problem is not with SME 5.5U3.

If it does, send mails for the SME to collect and see if it clears now.

Thanks, Kelvin, but I have setup OE to collect from the ISP which it is successful.

I have Telstra cable but use TPG for my email, website, etc, and I noticed the following lines in the log:

/usr/sbin/named[1686]: the default for the 'auth-nxdomain' option is now 'no'
bpalogin[1679]: BPALogin v1.3 - lightweight portable BIDS2 login client

Are thesed two somehow related?

Hi geoff,

Don't think so.

I fixed it by upgrading to 5.6U2.

All is fine now.

Thanks for a great upgrade Path!!!
