Title: password protect wwwroot

hi,

i was wanting to restrict access to my public web home on my e-smith 5.1 server. Can somebody explain how i would do this.

I assume you mean your primary web site.
There is no easy way of doing this.

Instead you can create an ibay and put your main website files there, and then put a link in the primary/html folder to direct traffic to the ibay/html folder.
That way you can use the sme ibay password security features as required and still have a main domain name website.
