I didn't find the solution to my question in the forum so I post it.
Let my describe the situation:
During the installation of 5.6, I set a server name: X.
Then I use "workgroup" panel to configure my workgroup: problem X is also my workgroup name, and this setting is refused.
No matter I decide to change the server name to Y.
Here begin the stange things, for example in the "review configuration" panel the line "Mitel Networks SME Server manager" still indicate http://X/server-manager/.
Is it just a cosmetic problem or shall I have some troubles (with smb or ldap for example)?
Thanks for your help

How did you change the name from X to Y. The proper way to do it is to login to the console as admin.

Try closing server manager and then reopen it, the screen data will be refreshed then.
I saw your problem happen once before, I think it was when using the text based server manager.

I used the server-manager web interface, and I noticed later that this just change the name used for networking.
So I tried to find some kind of workaround...
Then I looked for the /etc/HOSTNAME file (logged as root on a console) and noticed that it was managed by e-smith templates, that's the reason why I looked for a config file found at /home/e-smith/configuration and change the SystemName line from SystemName = X to SystemName = Y. Then reboot, there may have a softer way and voila! /etc/HOSTNAME is corrected
thanx for your support
