Hello phorum,
I tried to do some kernel-compiling on a test server,
but when I reboot the server, I get this message:
kernel panic: kernel compiled for Pentium+, requires TSC
In swapper task - not synching.
so obviously something went wrong at compiling.
I do not remember changing anything but options that have to do
with CAPI.
so maybe this means I should leave the kernel alone and
do not try to compile it anymore.
what do you think?
Claudia.

I think you should save a copy of your working make.conf so in case something goes wrong you can recompile with the previous working config file and check what's wrong.
