Title: riad error
Post by: del on April 25, 2003, 09:21:45 AM
Hi All,
I had SME5.6 installed on a Maxtor 60gig HDD and decided to try software raid, I have purchased the exact same HDD installed it and did a new install of SME5.6 and chose the raid option, evreything seemed to go well but on boot up I get the following error(s):
hdc:dma_intr: status = error 0x84 {drivestatuserror Bad CRC}
hdc:dma_intr: status = error 0x51 {drive read seek complete error}
and these lines are repeated several times. It still boots up and appears to work OK.
Can any one throw some light on this problem.
Thanks,
Del

Looks like a failing drive, bad data, or a corrupted partition.

Hi Nathan,
It must have been a partition problem, swapped the HDD's over (Primary1 for Primary 2) and reinstalled 5.6 and no errors now!
Thanks
