Title: Ibay Ops
Post by: Stan Coleman on April 28, 2003, 08:19:02 AM
Lets see how do I make a long story short but leave in enough details....? Basicly I messed up a server. I've gotten everything back ok except that now the Server Manager says I don't have any Ibays. If I go to add an Ibay...the same one that was there...it says that it already exsists. I could simply add a different Ibay and move the files over there except then I have to go around and change all the windows shares that point to it. So if this Ibay still exsists...at least somewhere in the machine...how can I recover it to the point where the Server Manager notices it?

Use "mc" to see if the ibay still exists (/home/e-smith/files/ibays/)
if not it is still setup in your Accounts-file and therefor e-smith belives it still exists.

I'm sorry I dont know how to delete it from there. I think it must be something like

/sbin/e-smith/db accounts delprop

but I'm not sure.

Search for that in the forum

in the /home/e-smith/accounts file you can remove the old ibay´s then recreate them.. but a small mistake could crash the whole server so use EXTREME caution..

I did it a couple of times without any problems afterwards..
