Title: Port Forwarding from internal clients
Post by: Adrian on June 30, 2000, 01:56:08 AM
Hi!  I've managed to install port forwarding on my e-smith server and gateway so that I can have an FTP server behind my e-smith S&G.  I was just wondering why my internal LAN clients can't access this FTP server via the port forwarded on the server and gateway, it just times out.

Referencing http://juanjox.linuxhq.com, because of the way the kernel port forwarding mechanism works, only external requests can be port forwarded via ipchains/ipmasqadm.
