Title: changing server gives problems
Post by: Ruben Causyn on May 05, 2003, 05:18:13 PM
Hi,

i have a question:

i have an e-smith server 5.6 and want to replace this server with a better one, but, when i replace the server with the new one , i can't login anymore.
the clients are all windows xp machines.

it's really weird, anyone who can tell me what's wrong?
as far as i can see the configuration of the sme server is equal to the older one.

thx
Ruben

Ull have to add the machines to the domain again!

1. First put the machines back to "workgroup" and boot them.
2. Then join the machines to the new domain.

And you need to run the WinXP registry patch that is on the instal CD, look for winxplogon.reg
