Title: Windows and SME dual-boot?
Post by: Clint on May 10, 2003, 09:22:47 PM
I was linked to this software by a friend, and it looks excilent, everything I was looking for in a Linux distro.

Now, my server is already running Windows 2000, quite happily I might add, and I don't want to erase it quite yet (until I am sure that SME is for me). Will installing SME server wipe off all my partitions/format my data, or does it live happily with other Operating Systems?

Thanks!

It will wipe ALL hard drives clean on install.  Get yourself a nice, small, cheap 2 Gig drive and start playing from there.

You might want to use VMWare under Windows to test run sme.
see

and also search these forums for VMWare (all dates) for various threads
