Title: Cache of Web content in SME server
Post by: Sam Chan on May 12, 2003, 11:59:09 AM
Dear all,

We use SME server 5.6 as a firewall and are not using any Proxy setting in the workstations and we host our website in the ISP. However, after uploading the files using ftp s/w and we browse the web, the contents are keeping unchanged.

We believe that there are some caches stored in the server. How do we remove them or how do we get rid of such problem?

I am appreciated if someone can help.

Sam

Thanks a lot, Ray. It works fine. But is there any setting to do it automatically? Thanks again.

Hi Sam,
Open IE and go to Tools - Internet Options and on the General tab the the second section down is Temporary Internet Files, click on Settings  you will see Check for newer versions of stored pages, select the one you prefer eg. Every time you start Internet Explorer.
Hope this helps,
Del
